Mélodies Françaises

An original song and piano recital, full of emotion and elegance for an intimate concert.
A repertoire where music enhances poetry in an immersive program around French Melodies (1850-1930) whose PREMIERE was presented at Espace Culturel La Bergerie - Nangis (Seine-et-Marne - France), on Saturday, April 4, 2026 — Available for the next 3 seasons.

The pitch...

From the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th, discover a selection of the most beautiful melodies by composers of this joyful and sensual period. Poulenc, Fauré, Debussy, Berlioz, Chausson, Chaminade, Jaëll, Massenet, Delibes, Sohy, and Niedermeyer illustrate some of the most beautiful poems (Hugo, Apollinaire, Prudhomme, Lamartine, Boyer, and others), brought to life by the warm and vibrant voice of mezzo-soprano Valérie Nicolas, accompanied by the young pianist Marie-Anne Faupin, who will have the opportunity to perform works by Ravel, Satie, and Franck. An invitation into the intimate setting of Valérie and Marie-Anne's living room for a program presented by Jérôme Lebaillif, with listening guides that place the program in its historical context and share many lively anecdotes.
